The free-flowing open plan of the First Floor's Living, Meals and Kitchen areas provide for a variety of different spaces within the overall larger space. This enables the occupants to enjoy the water views from many vantage points, and it allows family and guests to be part of the overall 'action' of the First Floor while simultaneously having the option of being apart from it.

Sunlight in the space is constant at all hours of the day. As the sun follows its path the light moves across and around the space and is filtered through the external screens and the foilage of the surrounding trees. Sun path studies were used to refine the interior design and examine the penetration of sunlight into these First Floor spaces as it changes throughout the day and seasons.
